14 Year Old NCC Founder Speaks to Muslim American Society

On July 28, 2007, 14 year old NCC Founder, McKay Hatch, was invited to the California Islamic Center Mosque to address a Muslim American Society parenting conference about his recently formed “No Cussing Club”. Since the club started just one month prior, McKay counts among his members, Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca, US Congressman Adam Schiff and kids from 16 states the UK, China and Mexico. He has developed a website, www.nocussing.com, and even has a music video (seen on the website). “Our goal is to have members in every state” McKay stated to the audience. “The challenge is simple,” he says, “stop using bad language”. After the event a group of kids followed McKay around the Mosque and one boy began to sing McKay’s song to back him verbatim. “Don’t Cuss! Don’t Cuss” repeated the boy as he sang the chorus. The boy’s father said that his son had watched the music video multiple times and asked to come to the conference to meet McKay.
